From the Officers
- June 2010
From the East
Well here it is June already. Where did the 1st five months go? It has really been a learning experience for me and my new officers. I can’t believe I picked such a smart line of officers. Three of them have already conferred a degree and two more told me they would be ready to confer by September. I hope you all have a relaxed June, July and August during our dark period.
Thank you all for helping me welcome the Most Worshipful Carl L. Banks, Grand Master of Masons in Nevada, on his official visit to our Lodge. I think it went real well.
A good time was also had at the Hawaiian dinner and program during Downey United Lodge’s visit. I guess the Worshipful Master was still able to show he still has some of his old moves. Ha Ha.
By the way: Thrift is a wonderful virtue — especially in ancesters.
Fraternally,
Stan
Worshipful Master
From the West
Friday June 4, 2010 is our Stated Communication, and with it, the completion of the first half of our Masonic Year. It has been—to say the least—a very busy six months.
As you read this article,we will have completed the annual official visitation Freemasonry of our Grand Master. It was an enjoyable evening including an excellent dinner and an informative message delivered by the Grand Master.
Saturday, May 15 saw our annual visitation with Downey United Lodge #220. This is one of our Lodge’s most anticipated events. It provides all of us with an opportunity to become acquainted with another jurisdiction’s ritual and customs.
Most importantly to renew old friendships.
With summer rapidly on it’s way, I hope you all will spend some time enjoying your families with trips, barbecues, and just hanging out together. I know my wife and I have several trips planned and are looking forward to having a great time on each one. See you all in September.
Fraternally,
Mike
Senior Warden
From the South
Well, here we are. Summer is here. Doesn’t time go by incredibly fast? We worked really hard and we need to rejuvenate ourselves, and be ready for the second half of the year. I would like to thank all the brothers and sisters who have helped me to prepare those wonderful meals and I am sure I will have even better support during the second half. We will have even better crowds at our fantastic family dinners. Brethren, have a wonderful and safe Summer. Enjoy every moment and spend time with your loved ones.
Fraternally,
Birant
Junior Warden
From the Secretary
The work may stop in the quarries, but, your Secretary & Asst. Secretary will be busy this Summer going through all the personal files and making the corrections that some of them need. So, if you have any changes that you have not notified the office about, please do so. Letters have been sent to the Grand Secretary requesting assistance for those who still have not paid their dues for two years. Unfortunately, I have not heard from any of them. All will be suspended at the September 2010 Stated Meeting. I wish each and every one of you a safe and restful Summer. Remember the Masonic Morning coffee club will still be meeting over the Summer.
Fraternally,
Mark
Secretary
